Senior Network Engineer

Responsibilities

Design, deploy, and manage complex network solutions, including routing, switching, and security systems
Troubleshoot and resolve network issues to ensure optimal performance and reliability
Develop and implement network policies, procedures, and best practices
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support and integrate network solutions with other systems and applications
Monitor network performance, identify bottlenecks, and optimize network resources
Conduct network capacity planning and scaling to meet growing business demands
Manage and configure network hardware and software, including firewalls, switches, routers, and VPNs
Ensure network security through the implementation of firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and regular security assessments.
Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior network engineers and other team members Document network configurations, changes, and procedures
Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to continuously improve network performance and security

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
Minimum of 5 years of experience in network engineering, with a strong background in designing and managing enterprise-level networks
Advanced knowledge of networking protocols, including TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, and MPLS
Hands-on experience with network hardware and software from leading vendors (e.g., Cisco, Juniper, Fortinet)
Proficiency in network security practices and tools
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and in a team environment
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNP, CCIE, JNCIP, CISSP) are highly desirable
Experience with Wintel, virtualization and Azure/AWS cloud environments is a significant advantage
